Clinical Research Program Coordinator

Clinical Development - Seattle, Washington

Zymeworks is seeking a highly motivated professional who is looking to grow their career with our company. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional who is confident, organized and a self-starter who excels in a high paced, rapidly changing environment while providing clinical research program support.

The Clinical Research Program Coordinator (or Manager) will report to the Vice President, Clinical Research and will be based in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and help facilitate the smooth function of Clinical Research programs.
  • Coordinate, plan, and attend meetings, as well as identify pending follow up Items for discussion; record minutes at Clinical Research meetings.
  • Collect and prepare presentation materials for Committee meetings.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of Advisory Boards, held on site and via teleconference.
  • Act as program liaison for Clinical Research team by partnering with other departments.
  • Review and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents (Ad Boards, SIVs, Internal presentations).
  • Monitor research program budget, ensuring that all financial allocations and expenditures are in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain executive schedules by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for executives and team members, as required, including domestic and international needs for air/hotel reservations, as well as ground transportation.
  • Proactively identify new ways to improve current processes, maximize executive productivity and affect continuous improvement/efficiency within the department.
  • Complete executive expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliation as per the company guidelines and deadlines.
  • Organize events within the Clinical Research departments, in accordance with agreed logistics, scope, timelines and budget allocations.

  • Other program support duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS required; A minimum of 5 years of administrative and program support experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries; experience supporting programs in clinical research is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience managing multiple, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating team schedules, including tasks and deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements in multiple time-zones.

Additional Qualifications

  • High level of attention to detail, organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Highly collaborative orientation, identifying, consulting and partnering with others to meet department, division and company objectives.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive, problem solving approach. An ability to function professionally and pleasantly during periods of high stress.
  • A willingness to take initiative and the ability to make thoughtful and timely decisions.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team. Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Sharepoint, including strong experience and familiarity with Outlook. Experience with Mac operating systems an asset. Embody and champion Zymeworks’ values: Act with Integrity. Collaborate. Care.
