Sales Director, Northeast - Adcetris

Sales - US Field Based

Description

The Regional Sales Director is a key member of the Sales Leadership Team accountable for product sales performance in a particular region, as well as developing and maintaining a high performing team that consistently delivers results. The incumbent will be expected to effectively collaborate with other members of the Sales Leadership Team and leaders across the company to effectively execute regional sales tactics and meet performance objectives.

The Regional Sales Director will report to the National Sales Leader and is expected to be an exceptional oncology sales leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the National Sales Leader to establish sales and profit goals for assigned geographic area based on national sales plan
  • Ensure all goals for the region are met or exceeded; perform quarterly business reviews and provide leadership and strategic direction to Division Managers in order to achieve performance objectives
  • Participate in development and implementation of national and regional sales strategy and tactics
  • Establish business objectives, assess performance, and address skill development for Division Managers to ensure appropriate portfolio management and effective sales leadership at all levels
  • Ensure regional resources are appropriately allocated in order to meet goals and targets
  • Develop regional operating budget and ensure fiscal targets are met
  • Encourage ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement within the entire regional team by regularly communicating Seagen's vision, business objectives, performance outcomes, and future action steps
  • Develop and continue to improve all levels of regional sales team through mentoring, coaching, and continuous feedback
  • Identify and validate regional market opportunities and needs, and assist with developing plans to launch and refine new product and service offerings
  • Review and analyze regional performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities to improve performance
  • Collaborate with peers and partners across Commercial and the broader organization to execute key initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare with a proven record of high performance and consistent results
  • 3 - 5 years of oncology sales management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including building and maintaining a high performing team
  • Thorough understanding of customer segments and regional market dynamics within therapeutic area. Strong knowledge of all oncology market segments including disease state pathways, national guidelines and formulary processes
  • Skilled in professional competencies including collaborative and cross functional problem solving and communications, innovative thinking, acting with a sense of urgency, and a demonstrated passion for the science of oncology and helping patients with cancer
  • Effective presentation and influencing skills up, down and across the organization are required
  • Experience effectively managing budgets and allocating resources is required
  • Strong competencies in strategic thinking and effective project management preferred
  • Previous key account management or other Managed Care experience a plus
  • Previous experience leading sales teams through new product and indication launches preferred
  • A minimum of 40% travel is required. Evening and weekend work is necessary to meet business and customer needs
